i picked this pearl of wisdom up somewhere
out there along the winding highway
just when it seemed folks had come to terms with my latest death
darned if i didn't just rise again
from the smoldering dust and ashes
i would have given anything to have stayed
forever in those endless empty shadows
but there has long been nothing left to give to anyone at all
it seems the powers that truly be have further plans for me
as i'm still bound to walk this earthly realm
for reasons that i cannot ken quite yet
to ken...... to comprehend
